East Linton Bowling Club

The Green

Often regarded as one of the best bowling greens in East Lothian , with its lowered appearance and surrounded by raised bankings on all four sides.

East Linton's Bowling Green is possibly the largest green in the county, in its original state consisted of 10 rinks playing away from the clubhouse until the two rinks nearest the tennis court side were sectioned off to form the wee green. Now the main green comes with its standard setting of 6 rinks by 6 rinks or on its alternative setting but can easily acommodate 6 rinks by 8 when needed.

It is believed that the green has never been relaid since it was originally laid/sown in 1880.
